In short ... Whey, or whey, is the liquid that separates from the curd during cheese making. It is rich in lactose and potassium, and has extraordinary detoxifying properties in the kidneys (diuretic effect), intestines (laxative effect, even in severely constipated) and liver. It also has a revitalizing action on the body and effectively contributes to regenerating the intestinal flora, as is necessary after taking antibiotics. In the past, whey cures were done with fresh whey directly supplied by cheese factories, nowadays we use whey reconstituted with water from powders or granules on sale in specialty stores.
