In short ... The intestinal flora, these billions of germs that inhabit our intestines, is above all known for its beneficial role in digestion. Many people also know that digestive problems arise when it is destroyed by antibiotics. The intestinal flora, however, has many other functions that are most useful for our health. It neutralizes toxic substances, synthesizes vitamins, promotes the assimilation of nutrients, regulates intestinal transit, has an anti-inflammatory action and plays a fundamental role in immunity through its ability to destroy pathogenic microbes and produce antibody. A deficiency of the intestinal flora can be the cause of diseases as varied as bloating, constipation, irritable bowel, lack of energy, cystitis, candidiasis, yeast infections, allergies, depression and, in particular part, some diabetes, cancer and obesity. Nowadays, many people have a strongly weakened intestinal flora, because it is destroyed by an erroneous way of eating (refined foods…), extreme diets, the abuse of antibiotics, stress, alcohol… They suffer from diseases due to deficiencies in the intestinal flora, but in ignorance of the real cause of their disorders, do not know how to cure them.
